Itinerary

Requirements: Participants must be able to hike 12 miles per day for three consecutive days with 30 lbs of weight at 10,000 ft elevation.

Arrival (Thursday): Check into the Radisson Hotel Salt Lake City Downtown.

Day 1: 6:30 AM pickup. Transport to Uinta National Forest (optional REI stop). Hike to Camp 1 (11:00 AM – 4:00 PM, 5 miles, 9,820 ft).

Day 2: Hike to Camp 2 (8:30 AM – 6:00 PM, 12 miles, 10,050 ft).

Day 3: Hike to Camp 3 (8:30 AM – 6:00 PM, 11 miles, 9,800 ft).

Day 4: Hike to North Fork Trailhead (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, 11 miles). 5:00 PM dinner at The Notch; 6:30 PM drop-off at the airport or Radisson.
Safety and Guidance Protocol

Qualifications: All guides are Wilderness First Responder and CPR certified.

Briefings: Daily briefings cover routes, weather, hydration, hazards, and meal plans.

Field Management: Guides ensure proper formation and monitor participant hydration and caloric intake.
Client Requirements and Preparation

Physical Ability: Clients must be prepared to hike 12–15 miles per day over uneven terrain while carrying 10 lbs of additional weight.

Medical Information: All clients must list any allergies, dietary restrictions, injuries, and prescribed medications prior to arrival.

Health Screening: Participants will undergo a pre-trip screening for conditions such as asthma, cardiac history, or joint issues.

Gear Inspection: A mandatory gear "shakedown" will occur upon pickup in Salt Lake City to ensure appropriate apparel for the Uintas' sub-freezing temperatures and sudden storms.

Meals: Breakfast and dinner will be served at camp at 6:30 AM and 6:30 PM, respectively. Lunch will be provided on the trail daily.
